How do you handle criticism? Do you embrace praise, but, shut down whenever you're criticized. Instead of taking it in, you feel hurt, sad, angry or, even, fear, if the person delivering the criticism has some power over you.
Go back to the time when you were a young girl, who still believed in fairy tales. You were a dreamer. You expected that when you grew up your life would be just as you imagined! Somewhere along the way reality hit.
Appearances can be deceiving. While some people might appear to have perfect lives, perfection is a relative thing; what they really have is an ability to highlight their positives. Perfection is relative. Stop focusing on your limitations.
